Age 49 Place of Birth: Batavia, New York Place of Passing: At his residence Resided in: Corfu, New YorkHistory: Tommy went home to be with Jesus after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Tommy was a man who was loved by all who met him for the first time or knew him for a lifetime. His exemplary character was evident in all areas of his life. He walked with Jesus daily, loved his family immensely, worked diligently at UPS for 27 years, served others continually and gave sacrificially. Tommy was born July 26, 1960 in Batavia, NY. He attended Akron Central School and graduated from Alden High School, class of 1978. He was an avid sports fan as well as participant. He loved baseball, football, Hockey, basketball and was a diehard lifelong Yankees fan. In his younger years, he participated in all of the sports that he loved and recently took great pleasure in watching and coaching his own children and many others in various sports for the last 20 years. Tommy was an active member of High Point Community Church, Pembroke Youth Athletics, Village of Corfu Community Days and was an avid youth group volunteer for over 15 years.Family: Tommy was the devoted husband of 24 years to Peg (Pilot) Patterson, whom he married July 27, 1985; amazing father of Taylor, Megan, Caleb and Emma; devoted son of Carl and Gloria (Aylsworth) Patterson of Akron; brother to Carl (Julie) Patterson of Akron, Deb (Rick) Reiss of Corfu, Rose (Darren) Gramza of Akron, Jeff (Marlene) Patterson of Alden and Kim (Bob) Kwiatkowski of Cheektowaga; uncle to many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews; nephew to George Patterson of Lancaster and Joan (Richard) Piechocki of Alden; great nephew to Luella Bailey of Alden; son in-law to the late Michael P. (Ruth G.) Pilot. Also survived by many cousins and too many friends to count.Viewing info: Family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 4-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at High Point Community Church, 1163 Main Rd. (Rt 5), Corfu, NY. Rev. Robert Dean, pastor will officiate.Burial: Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu, NY.Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to High Point Community Church, Homecare & Hospice (550 E.
