~ Services ~
At Childs Funeral Home LLC, we offer a wide range of service options to meet the needs of every family. Funeral services address the emotional needs of surviving family members by helping to confirm the reality of death, allowing the family and friends to express grief, allowing the community to express its support, providing an opportunity for remembrance and by reaffirming religious and philosophical beliefs.
We want the funeral service to fulfill these needs . . . and we will tailor the arrangements for that service to your personal requests.
~ Service Options ~ Because the needs of each family are different, we offer a wide range of service options to meet those needs. Whether you select a full traditional service, or a simple memorial service, you are assured of our personal attention. The following are just a few examples of what services we can provide:
Traditional service (with viewing) followed by burial or entombment.
Traditional service (with viewing) followed by cremation.

~ Caskets ~ As with other important decisions for the funeral service, choosing the casket that best fulfills your needs and wishes is one of your most personal choices. At Childs Funeral Home LLC, we offer a wide range of choices and always allow you to make your selection in private. Caskets come in a variety of materials, cloth-covered, woods, hardwoods, steel, copper and bronze. We make available a price list of these caskets before selection is made.

~ Vaults and Liner ~
Although no state law requires you to purchase a container to surround the casket in the grave, most cemeteries require some sort of rigid outside container. At Childs Funeral Home LLC, we offer a selection of outer containers and vaults to meet those requirements. Again, a price list of those vaults and liners will be presented to you before you make a selection.
There is no law stating that casketed remains must be buried in a vault or grave liner, but most cemeteries require the use of one.

~ Monuments ~
The selection of an appropriate memorial is an important one. Because of the personal nature of this selection, we offer a vast range of choices.
~ Cremation ~ Many people believe they must choose between cremation and a traditional funeral. Cremation is not a replacement for a funeral. Cremation is simply an alternative which can still include an open casket, public visitation and a memorial service. In fact, cremation is simply an optional form of final disposition.

~ Embalming ~ Although embalming is only required in special cases, most families prefer it. When a service is selected with viewing and visitation, embalming is usually performed. Embalming is the disinfection and temporary preservation of the body. We are professionally licensed, highly trained and experienced in the art of embalming.
