	History:	Ruth was a graduate of Kensington High School in Buffalo, N.Y. For many years she was one of the sales managers for JC Penny Co. in Littleton, CO. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #157 also in Littleton, CO. Upon moving back to Western New York, she joined her husband in becoming a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of S. Newstead.
	Family:	Daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (St. James) Ricketts. Ruth was the loving wife of Melvin W. Knerr of Akron, N.Y. and the late Norbert Steffen and Alan Oman, dear mother of Nancy (Lake) Dobbins, Paul Steffen, Charles (Pam) Steffen, grandmother of several grandchildren and step grandchildren, sister of Myrtle Wollschlager and the late Richard Ricketts also surviving are several nieces and nephews and friends.
