	History:	A WWII Veteran of the US Army, Mr. Chapman served from July 27, 1942 - March 9, 1946. He worked for Consolidated Packing in Alden, NY where he retired after many years as a Supervisor. Mr. Chapman served as a Deacon for many years at the Calvary Baptist Church in Akron. A talented craftsman, Ralph built his own home along with several other homes and additions in the Akron area. He also enjoyed traveling.
	Family:	He was the son of the late Wayne and Emaline (Reigle) Chapman. Dear husband of Miriam (Dart) Chapman, whom he married June 21, 1997; Mr. Chapman was predeceased by his first wife Gloria (Carpenter) Chapman; loving father of Marsha (Ronald) Hiller of Akron, Darwin (Evelyn) Chapman of Lexington, KY and Janice (Jeffery) Hardin of NJ; stepfather of Nancy Ruth Allen of MA, Joy (Fred) Cullen of PA and Barbara (Doug) Schmidt of Darien, NY; Grandfather of 12 Grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and step- grandfather of 4; dear brother of Vera (late Raymond) Fry of Wolcottsville, NY, Pearl (late Paul) Bloom of Mayfield, NY and the late Viola Truelson and Lloyd Chapman.
	Viewing info:	Funeral service will be held on Monday August 25, 2008 in the Calvary Baptist Church - 12752 Lewis Rd., Akron. Rev. Ron Houseman and Rev. Albert Damon will officiate. Family will receive friends and family on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron.
	Burial:	Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery, Akron.
