History:

Mr. Bundy served with pride in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Myron earned his degree in Criminal Justice from Hilbert College in Buffalo, New York. He then went onto a 17 year, career as a Correctional Officer in the Attica State Prison and retired from the Wende Correctional Facility in Alden in 1994. Myron was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Akron where he served with the Men’s group of the church. He also enjoyed gardening and his daily walks. Most of all he enjoyed precious time with his family.

Family:

Myron was the son of the late Roy S. and Marie (Farnsworth) Bundy. Mr. Bundy was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Bunte) Bundy who died on March 1, 2000. They had been married for 37 years and whom he missed very deeply since her passing. Myron was the loving father of Louise Bundy of Cheektowaga, NY, Dawn (Eric) Shreves of Corfu, NY and Roy (Tracy) Bundy of Cheektowaga, NY. Proud grandpa of Amanda and Andrea; brother of Dwane Bundy of Oakfield, NY and John Brown Sr. of South Carolina and the late Cora Bundy, Luellen Brown Pat Brown and his twin sisters Lucille and Cecilia Brown; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the First United Methodist Church, 7 Church St. Akron , NY Rev. Keith Manry pastor will officiate.
