History:
  Mr. Muck was a retired farmer and Superintendent of Frey Sand & Gravel in Genesee County. He graduated from Parker High School in 1942 and worked on his family farm in Lancaster. He married the former Lois A. Frey in 1952 and started his own dairy farm in Akron. In 1959, his wife's family owned concrete supply company, Frey Concrete based in Lancaster, NY started a sand and gravel mining operation in Alexander, NY. Mr. Muck assumed the position of Superintendent and over the next 30 years led the operation in supplying building and road construction aggregates for projects in Genesee, Wyoming and Erie County. Although he stopped active farming when he assumed the position at Frey, Mr. Muck remained involved in local agriculture as a member of the WNY Farm Bureau and a founding member of the Town of Newstead Drainage Committee. He retired from Frey in 1989. He was active at Zion Lutheran Church as well as several Lutheran fraternal organizations, including 10 years on the Board of Trustees of the St. John's Lutheran Home for Children, which provides financial assistance to area children and youth ministries. Mr. Muck was a member of the Akron Lions Club and served as president in 1987-88, was also a member of the Akron Masonic Lodge #527,F.&A.M.
Family:
  Mr. Muck was the son of the late William and Helen (Spinnler) Muck. Survivors include two sons Paul (Heidi) and Aaron both of Akron; grandfather of Leo Muck; brother of Earl (Hazel) of Akron and Melvin (Edith) of East Aurora. Mr. Muck was predeceased by his wife Lois in 1996.

  Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM in the Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM in Zion Lutheran Church, 9535 Clarence Center Rd., Clarence Center. Rev. Randy Milleville, Pastor will officiate.
Burial:
  Burial will be in Lancaster Rural Cemetery.
