	History:	She was the daughter of the late Herman and Bessie (Dowd) Klem. Mrs. Brightenfield was employed for many years as a clerk at Schmidt's Store in Ridgeway and then as a cashier for Akron Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Akron and was a member of the Limerick Home Bureau.
	Family:	Surviving her are two daughters Doris (late Carlton) Cowan of Wilmington, NC and Marie (Gary) Baker of Akron, NY; four grandchildren Cheryl (Pierce) Mooney, Thomas (Theresa) Baker, Rebecca (Charles) Justice and Michael Cowan; six great- grandchildren; one sister Dorcas Snyder of Akron, NY. She was predeceased by her Husband John Brightenfield who died in 1990, and her sister Grace Owen.
	Viewing info:	Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church, 122 Main St., Akron. Rev. David Weidman will officiate. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron.
	Burial:	Burial will be in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Corfu.
	Memorials:	Memorials in Lois's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church in Akron.
