History:
  John proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 where he served with the 593 rd Artillery in West Germany. Following the service Mr. Kemp went onto work for New York Central and Conrail Railroad working in Track Maintenance for over 40 years. He attended the Middleport Fundamental Baptist Church he also served in the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. John also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Family:
  Son of the late Wallace and Emma (Jenkins) Kemp.Survivors include nieces and nephews Barbara (Thomas) Schultz of Wolcottsville, Lawrence (Shirley) Carmer of Lockport, Donna (late William) Bidleman of Lockport, June (Brian) Raduns of Florida, Maynard (Michele) Carmer of Lockport, David (Deborah) Carmer of Middleport and Karen Rice of Depew. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Kemp was predeceased by his brothers and sisters- Edwin, Charles, Lois, Vivian, Mary, Lucille and Hazel.
Viewing info:
  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron Where services will be held on Monday at 11 AM.
Burial:
  Burial Clarence Fillmore Cemetery.
Memorials:
  In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in John’s memory may be made to the Wolcottsville Fire Company.
