	History:	He graduated from Akron High School, class of 1955, going on to earn his Bachelors Degree from the University of Buffalo and then his Masters from Buffalo State College. Mr. Edgar started out his career as an English Teacher at Starpoint High School for 2 years, transferring to Akron Central School where he taught in the English Department for the next 36 years, retiring in 1994. While teaching at Akron Mr. Edgar also coached football, baseball as well as cross country. At one time he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Akron. Former member of the Akron Jaycee's and the Akron Fire Co. Mr. Edgar enjoyed fishing, golf and was an avid NY Yankees fan.
	Family:	Mr. Edgar was the son of the late Kenneth and Vivian (Swift) Edgar. Dear husband of Barbara (Reinhardt), whom he married Aug. 1 1959; loving father of Debbie Schneeberger, Jerry (Barb) and Chris Edgar all of Akron; grandfather of 4 grandchildren and the late Jimmy Schneeberger; brother of Virginia (Robert) Schalge of Akron; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
	Viewing info:	Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron where services will follow at 8 PM. Rev. Terry White, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of S. Newstead will officiate.
	Burial:	Internment will be in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Akron.
