Jacqueline "Jackie" Everett Nice

Age 76 Place of Birth: Akron, New York Place of Passing: Amherst, New York Resided in: Akron, New YorkHistory: Mrs. Nice was a graduate of Akron High School class of 1951. Jackie went to work at the Ford Gum and Machine Company in Akron. She also served in the Dietary Department in the Cafeteria in the Akron Central School for many years, touching the lives of many students especially giving of, herself to those who forgot their lunch money or needed that extra treat. Mrs. Nice was always their for her extended school family. She retired from Aakron Rule Company after 15 years of employment. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.Jackie was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church S. Newstead. She served as the church treasurer for 25 years. For many years she was she was an Election Inspector for the Town of Newstead. Mrs. Nice was a volunteer at the Akron-Newstead Food Pantry she also volunteered for the American Red Cross for many years. Many will remember her for the beautiful cross stitching pieces she made throughout the years. Jackie taught many of her family members to do cross stitching as well.
Family: Jackie was the daughter of the late Herb and Mary (Reigle) Everett. Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years Philip Nice Jr. whom she married December 1, 1956. Dear mother of Mark E. Nice (Maggie Gardner), Laura Ann (Robert G.) Bachorski and Lynda Louise (Alan) Litfin. Cherished grandmother of Craig Philip Nice (Amanda Cummings), Samantha Louise Morgan, Claire Hetherly Morgan, Lydia Louise Litfin and Bristol Kathleen Ann Litfin; sister of Janice (late Walter) Sutton and Nancy (Thomas) Dibble; also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with many caring brother and sister in laws.Viewing info: Monday from 5 to 8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church South Newstead. Rev. David Weidman and Rev.
