	Place of Passing:	Surrounded by her loving family, at the Niagara Hospice in Lockport, NY following a lengthy illness.
	Resided in:	Wolcottsville, NY
	History:	She graduated from Kensington High School in Buffalo. A homemaker, Irene also worked for many years as "The Counter Lady" at Milsher Lanes in Tonawanda, NY. In her later years, she enjoyed being a member of the Wolcottsville Senior Citizens.
	Family:	Irene was the daughter of the late George and Francis (Wallet) Kraus. Mrs. Doherty is survived by her five children- Michael (Deborah) of Huston, TX, Daniel (late Lois) of Wolcottsville, NY, Dennis (Jody) of Jackson, MI, Tim of the City of Tonawanda, NY, and Patti (Scott) Bokman of Alleghany, NY; ten grandchildren and five great- grandchildren; one sister Lorraine (late Edward) Parylo of Buffalo, NY; and one brother William (Doris) Kraus of Akron, NY. Irene is predeceased by her husband Willard D. Doherty, who died in 1986, and her two brothers George and Ronald Kraus. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
	Memorial Celebration:	A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, March 15th from 4 to 7 pm at the Elks Lodge #860, 21 Main St., N. Tonawanda, NY 14120
