Resided in: Formerly of Wolcottsville, NYHistory: She was a graduate of Silver Springs School, after which she went on to be a life long homemaker. She was also a member of the Royalton Community Church.Family: Hazel was the daughter of the late Wallace and Emma (Jenkins) Kemp. She is predeceased by her husband Howard Ross Carmer (died Aug. 10, 2002), of whom she married Dec. 24, 1937. Surviving her are 7 children- Barbara (Thomas) Schultz of Wolcottsville, NY; Lawrence (Shirley) Carmer of Lockport, NY; Donna (William) Bidleman of Wolcottsville, NY; June (Brian) Raduns of FL; Maynard (Michele) Carmer of Lockport, NY; David (Deborah) Carmer of Middleport, NY and Karen Rice of Buffalo, NY; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother John Kemp of Wolcottsville, NY; several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband, Mrs. Carmer is also predeceased by her infant granddaughter Nancy Bidleman, 2 brothers Edwin and Charles Kemp and 4 sisters Lucille, Mary, Vivian and Lois.Viewing info: The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 3rd, from 2-4 and 7-9PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave, Akron, where the funeral service will also be held Monday Feb. 4th at 11AM.Burial: Burial will be in the Clarence Fillmore Cemetery, Clarence.Memorials: Expressions of sympathy may be made, in Hazel's memory, to the Wolcottsville Fire Company and/or to the Women's and Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
