Age 85 Place of Birth: Akron, NY Place of Passing: Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo following a brief illness. Resided in: Akron, NYHistory: He was the son of the late Lloyd and Ora (Clark) Wilson. He was a 1939 graduate of Akron Central School. Mr. Wilson was a machinist for many years at Strippit Inc. in Akron until his retirement in 1985. He was also the former owner of Akron Builders, having built many homes in Akron. Being an avid archer, he was a member of the Red & White Bowman Archery Club and was also a National Archery Field Instructor. He also enjoyed square dancing with the Harris Square Dancing Club.Family: Survivors include his loving wife Joanne (Stumpf) Wilson of whom he married in 1974; two step sons David (Patricia) Sterner of Williamsville and Richard (Anne) Sterner of Akron; one step daughter Barbara (Thomas Jr.) Hanft of Akron; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother Lawrence (Norma) Wilson of Akron and one sister Laura (late Robert) Shaw of W. Seneca. Predeceasing him are three siblings Marian (Robert) King, Robert (Elizabeth) Wilson and Velma (Joseph) Bennett. Also surviving him are several nieces and nephews.Viewing info: A memorial service will be held Friday, July 27 at 7:30 PM in the Faith Fellowship Church, 11478 Main Rd., Clarence.Burial: Memorials: In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials in Glenn's memory be made to Home Care & Hospice, 550 E. Main St. Batavia, NY 14020 or Camp Good Days & Special Times.
