	History:	Mrs. Hennessy was a graduate of South Park High School in Buffalo. Besides being a homemaker, Gert worked for several years as a bank teller at the former Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo.    She was a member of St. Teresa's RC Church in Akron and was also a member of the Wolcottsville and Akron- Newstead Senior Citizens.
	Family:	She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Horan) Brown. Wife of the late Daniel E. Hennessy, who died in 1985; loving Mother of Paul (Mary Jo) Hennessy of Akron, NY and Sandra (John) Iannello of Orchard Park, NY; Grandmother of several grandchildren including Peter, Brian and Patrick Hennessy; Great-Grandmother of seven; Sister of the late Edward Brown; Sister In-law of Elizabeth Brown of West Seneca, NY; several nieces and nephews also survive.
	Viewing info:	The Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10AM in St. Teresa's RC Church, Akron.
	Burial:	Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
	Memorials:	Memorials in Mrs. Hennessy's memory to the American Heart Assoc. or to the Akron Fire Co. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
