Age 96 Place of Birth: Akron, NY Place of Passing: At her residence Resided in: Stow, NYHistory: She graduated from Akron Central School in 1930 and went on to graduate with a nursing degree from the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing. Mrs. Allison was a Registered Nurse at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, retiring after many years of service. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville and the Martha Circle at church, the North Harmony Senior Citizens, and the Niagara Lutheran Guild. Dorothea enjoyed reading, going to senior citizens lunches, but most of all she loved her family.Family: She was the daughter of the late William and Harriet (Broomstadt) Pagels. Mrs. Allison is survived by a daughter Caroline M. (William R.) Adamson of Stow, NY, and a granddaughter Tammy Adamson Brown of Scottville, Michigan, daughter-in-law of Dolores Allison of Alaska. She is predeceased by her husband Herdis Wilson Allison; her son Bill H. Allison; and six siblings- Elsie Panagakis, Gordon Pagels, Bessie Phelps, Viva Liedtke, Leota Smith and William Pagels. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Viewing info: Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 PM in the Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.Burial: Burial will be in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in Akron.Memorials: Memorials in Dorothea's memory may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 4840 West Lake Road, Mayville, NY 14757 or to the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 20 East Marvin St., Mayville.
