	Place of Passing:	Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, following a lengthy illness.
	Resided in:	Akron, New York
	History:	David was a Graduate of Tonawanda High School, class of 1970. He went onto to work at the GM Powertrain Plant in Tonawanda as an assembly worker retiring in 2003. David was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Lockport. His greatest joy was being a proud Poppy for his Grandchildren. Hunting, fishing and being a skilled craftsman in woodworking were his hobbies. At one time he coached little league baseball and football.
	Family:	David was the son of the late Alexander and Rose (Kayla) Palfi. Survivors include his loving wife Elizabeth (Darling) Palfi; dear father of Shawn and Eric Palfi of Akron, Jamie (Kevin Norris) Palfi of Clarence and Kristy (Justin) Dichiaro of Akron; Poppy of 4 Grandchildren; brother of Linda (James) Hensel of Tonawanda and the late Alexander Palfi; several nieces and nephews also survive.
	Viewing info:	Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME 10 Eckerson Ave. Akron, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM. Rev. Edward Darling officiating.
