	History:	She attended Akron High School, going on to become a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Akron, the Wolcottsville Senior Citizens and she thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings, helping out on the family dairy farm, cooking, gardening, bird watching and reading books.
	Family:	Betty was the daughter of the late Harold and Winifred (Dennis) Vaughn. Betty is survived by her beloved husband Donald Bruning, of whom she married November 30, 1957; loving mother of five children- Donna (Wayne) Edenholm of Corfu, NY, Daniel Bruning of E. Pembroke, NY, Debra, David and Daryl Bruning all of Akron, NY; dear grandmother of three grandchildren; sister of Robert (Ann) Vaughn of Newfane, NY, Penny (Thomas) Raduns of Wolcottsville, NY; sister in-law of Stanley Sharpsteen of Olcott, NY; several nieces and nephews also survive. Betty was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Sharpsteen on July 1, 2007.
	Viewing info:	Family will receive friends Monday in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Akron from 5 - 8 PM.
	Burial:	A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 16, in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in W. Shelby, NY, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 168 Main St., Akron, where Rev. Laurie Carson-Nelson and Rev. Donald Willman will officiate.
	Memorials:	Expressions of sympathy may be made in Betty's memory to the St. John's Lutheran Church.
