History:
  Art attended Akron and Clarence Schools. A veteran of the United States Army Mr. Stanley served from 1954-1956. Mr. Stanley was employed by the former Georgia Pacific Company in Akron, in the Gyp Seal Plank Department. After the plant closed in 1974 Art went onto work for the Rochester Button Factory and the Ford Gum and Machine Company in Akron. Art was a long time member of the Sandhill Baptist Church, and an exempt member of the Akron Fire Company. His hobbies included woodworking and doing crafts.
Family:
  Son of the late Percy and Bessie (Ribbeck) Stanley. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years the former Mary (Lippert) Stanley. Dear father of David (Peggy) Stanley of Akron and Douglas (Barbara) Stanley of Cheektowaga. Proud grandfather of six Grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Fond brother of Viloa (late Lester) Cummings Norma (Francis) Schumacher both of Akron and the late Gertrude Massaro, Carolyn Bradfield, Aldean Poole, Perry "Bud" Stanley and Marion Cummings. Brother in law of Donald Bradfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

  Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME 10 Eckerson Ave. Akron. Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am Rev. Robert Dean, Pastor of the Tonawanda Indian Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial:
  Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Akron.
