Mr. Oppel served in theAge 77 Place of Birth: Buffalo, New York Place of Passing: Residence Resided in: Corfu, New YorkHistory: Mr. Oppel attended St. Francis School in Buffalo, New York. Tony was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955. He was a former employee at the former Simonds Saw and Steel Mill in Lockport, NY. Tony was, employed at the, Transit Valley Country Club in East Amherst as the Greens Maintenance Man for the past 24 years. Mr. Oppel was a life member of VFW Post #3180 in Akron. Tony was an avid bowler and horseshoe player. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends whom he cherished.Family: He was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Miller) Oppel. Survivors include his loving wife and best friend Janice (Garry) Oppel whom he married October 29, 1955. Dear father of Anthony {TJ Jr.} (Jean) Oppel of Randolph, NY and the late Roxanne Oppel. Proud Pops of Amy and Jeanne; brother of Elizabeth (late Maurice) Jacques of Ontario, Canada, Cathrine (Cerio) Gerace of Akron, NY and the late John, Steven and Raymond Oppel.
